Back to Cold War?

Kosovo declares independence from Serbia and Sunday's declaration was carefully orchestrated with the U.S. but bitterly contested by Serbia and Russia. This declaration by Kosovo sets up a showdown with Serbia and Russia, both outraged at the imminent loss of its territory.

It makes you wonder why does the U.S. not work within the proper channels like the United Nations? By back door politics we lose credibility with many of the nations of the world. We will vehemently complain when a nation violates rules and protocol and yet the United States and its leaders seemingly feel we are above following the same rules.

Many of us know leaders and people that act in a similar fashion. Respect and credibility are lost when acting this way and it has a way of ultimately backfiring. Once allies become distant and you become an island by yourself.
The United States is acting the same way when it ignores treaties and rules that it has helped set up for the world.

With enough problems of our own do we really need to meddling in European affairs?

A Dismal Political Future

This is going to be a dismal season for choosing a President. With the choices that are at hand I am not even sure if it is worth voting this year. I am wondering about anyone else's thoughts on the current election year and the lack of good choices that we have. I just hope we can hold on to what little rights we have left in this country.

Church of England and Gay Rights

I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the ruling against the Church of England in their gay rights employment case? It seems the man won his case against the Church.I know I am being completely politically incorrect but I feel the Church of England had the right to disqualify him from employment because of his sexual orientation.

I am not advocating being mean or hateful but it is a Christian's moral obligation to adhere to the word of God and the values represented. Too often Christian's are being passive and wishy washy in their faith. I feel the Church of England did right in this situation.

It is funny because non believers will take stances for what they believe is the truth and come hell or high water they will not budge. Why then cannot so many Christians adopt the same never say die attitude? I personally have gay relatives and they actually will respect you more if you kindly take your stance and acknowledge that you are entitled to your option as well just as much as they are.

It saddens me to see our rights and morals slowly erode in this world. I am a seven year Christian and in those short seven years it has saddened me to see this demise.

The laws of the countries, whether it is here in the U.S., England, or anywhere else are increasingly taking stances that go against the very foundations of Christian moral law. At some point we as Christians need to say enough is enough. It should not matter if we are thought of as intolerant. It should matter that God thinks we are obeying his law above man's.

It sure is a tough time we as Christians live in isn't it? The morals of the world are at such a low. It makes a person wonder how low the world will sink before the return of our Lord.

Well it was nice getting a little bit of this off my chest. Please feel free to leave any comments.
